After closing during the war, the Superga factory reopened with a mission to bring high quality footwear to the people of Italy. In 1925, young entrepreneur Walter Martiny ventured from Turin to develop a sports shoe with a vulcanised natural rubber sole. His motive? Martiny's wife was an avid tennis player and some hundred years ago tennis players on the court were supported by a canvas shoe with a rope sole. The same sole served as a moule for Martiny's innovative natural rubber variant, which not only offered grip but also resistance and wearing comfort. The whimsical texture of rope forms the starting point of the signature sole, as it were the skin of an orange, which you can still find today in the 2750 model, an instant classic that continues to inspire the fashion world season after season.

Superga 2790

The Superga 2790 is known for its raised platform sole, which gives it a unique character. The thick vulcanized rubber sole of 4 centimeters provides extra height and offers a lot of comfort and support while walking. The 2790 series is also available in many different variants, so that there is always a model that matches your own style.

Superga 2730

The Superga 2730 is a mix of the classic 2750 series and the Superga 2790. The sole is slightly less high than the 2790 series, namely 3 centimeters. The combination of this high sole and the high-quality materials that have been used ensures great wearing comfort. The 2730 is a low model and is available in many fresh colours and designs.
