Schiesser

Since its foundation in 1875, the focus has been on high-quality feel-good fashion. Jacques Schiesser founded the brand 145 years ago in the German town of Radolfzell on Lake Constance. The best wearing comfort with the very best materials is what Schiesser is all about.

Within four years, the number of employees rises to 280. In 1890, the company expands with a number of branches. The workforce then rises to 600. In 1913, Schiesser dies and his son-in-law takes over the company with a further 1,200 employees. There were many company bosses in this family business. In 1936, Jean Schiesser, Jacques Schiesser's nephew, steps down and is succeeded by Walter Schellenberg, the first non-family managing director.

A feel-good formula

Schiesser works with a feel-good formula. This means that the textiles are made of at least 95% cotton and a maximum of 5% elastane. This makes them wonderfully soft and comfortable to wear. As a result, the garments subtly adapt to the skin and easily accommodate every movement. Their goal is to give a piece of quality of life back to the people who wear Schiesser clothing.
