Peak Performance

Peak Performance was founded in 1986 by two passionate skiers in Åre, Sweden. The two had quit their day jobs to pursue their dream. Their dream was: to make the ski equipment that they couldn't find anywhere else. It all started when the two skiers, one of them a multiple World Cup winner, sat next to each other in a chairlift going up a mountain. They started talking about why no one was making skiwear that they wanted to wear. Garments that combine excellent functionality with a simple and attractive design. The answer turned out to be Peak Performance.

Initially, their ambitions didn't go much further than making some clothing for themselves and their friends, in sufficient quantities to make money. The company was shaped by what was important to them: finding the right design and the right technical solution came first.
