Gant

Bernard Gantmacher, with his drive, founded the GANT brand in 1949, using the style and business acumen of his sons Marty and Elliot. Before this, they had been making clothes for other brands, even then the name GANT served as a trademark with high prestige. On each hem of the shirts they supplied, they placed a small diamond with the letter 'G' in it. This logo was valuable proof to their customers that they were bringing in garments of high quality. Eventually, Bernard and his sons decided to establish their own brand, GANT. Having already built such a good name for themselves with their high-quality shirts, the brand soon became a huge success with demand outstripping supply. Consequently, the brand did not stop growing. Where it originally started with shirts for GANT, they now also sell other products such as shoes.

Casual and stylish

GANT's style is casual, yet elegant. A style that was certainly not out of place in the 1950s, but is still widely worn today by anyone with a fashion sense. GANT's attention to detail, craftsmanship and loose American style appealed to a generation of men in the 1950s who for years wore nothing but military clothing, and after all these years they still manage to appeal to and inspire newer generations.
