Aigle

A pioneer of the rubber boot, Aigle has been handcrafting most of its well-known repertoire in its home country of France since 1853 to this day. The French heritage label is a master of outwear and leisure boots that stand out thanks to their thorough functionality and durability. In its own factory in Châtellerault, France, some 200 employees produce more than 4,000 pairs of rubber boots every day, which are redistributed to as many as 70 countries worldwide.

Aigle's footwear and ready-to-wear collection unites authenticity, design and know-how in a contemporary range of outdoor essentials that effortlessly respond to the techwear trend. Aigle strictly adheres to a policy of uncompromising quality and attention to detail, which translates into a high-quality and timeless product that will last for several years.

The difference is in the quality. Aigle boots can easily last several decades. Each pair is meticulously checked and tested for water resistance and shock absorption. For this reason, Aigle has had an in-house R&D team (Research & Development) since 2012.

Positive influence

Aigle understands that the fashion industry is highly polluting and is therefore working to make a positive impact on the earth. The brand believes that pollution should be reduced - whether it is climatic or social. Aigle has a number of missions to achieve this goal and make concrete progress, such as designing sustainable products, raising awareness of the circular economy and encouraging ecological behaviour. But also to protect the planet and reduce the company's ecological footprint.

Aigle is a partner with UNF CCC, an organisation that obliges its members in the textile industry to reduce emissions by 46% in 10 years. Aigle also carries out many impact projects with partners such as Goodplanet (reforestation projects), Merci Raymond (replanting of urban spaces) and the LPO (protection of eagles).

In addition to these missions, Aigle employees also commit to the United Nations by signing the charter of the 10 principles of the UN Global Compact. These principles relate to respect for human rights, international labour standards, the environment and the fight against corruption. Aigle also inspires the community every day to make a positive contribution to the planet. The brand promotes sustainable consumption by inviting everyone to repair products instead of replacing them during RRR (Repair, Reuse, Recycle) week. In addition to the above-mentioned characteristics, solidarity is also a high priority for the company. Aigle is involved with associations that ensure that the products it makes in France support the actions of farmers in difficulty.

The French company has kept the same core values as when it started, representing social commitment, the transfer of knowledge and the improvement of a raw material used for the production of the fashion items: natural rubber.
