Jaco and Jeremy: ''Living our dream!'' In 2008 Rehab was founded by Jaco Flach and in 2010 Jeremy Westerhuis became a partner of Rehab. Jaco about his brand: 'Because of Rehab we live our dream. I love to be creative and work closely with the Rehab team that consists of dedicated employees, suppliers, manufacturers and of course: our customers. Every season we have more than 30 new models and more than 50 different materials. We are proud when people recognize and appreciate the effort, creativity and quality of the brand'.

The production processes

Rehab makes high quality shoes. At first glance, the shoes seem familiar because of the lines and shapes of the classic men's shoes. At second glance: beautiful colours, surprising textures and handmade details.

When making Rehab shoes, many processes with ''old-fashioned'' craftsmanship are finished by hand. The high quality of the materials used gives each shoe a unique and rich look, each rubber sole is covered with high quality hand-finished leather. User experience and continuous testing of the shoes using the latest techniques guarantees a perfect fit. Rubber soles, the soft leather and the extra-low foam on the inside of the footbed provide every conceivable comfort.

Many chemicals are used in the tanning of leather. Rehab therefore chooses to make at least 80% of the collection with natural tanned leather. The natural tanning of leather is a traditional craft where leather is tanned free of chemicals. Natural tanned leather is very soft and gives the shoes a unique and characteristic look. Over time, the colours may fade, and the true uniqueness of the leather comes to the surface.

At Rehab they are constantly looking for the best quality leather with the most beautiful and eye-catching prints or textures. They use buffalo, cow or goat leather: strong, soft and pure with a raw edge. They love to use special textures and prints, such as snake, crocodile and lizard prints, or exotic, floral and shiny prints. They always add a few surprising details for the perfect finishing touch.

Production & responsibility

Rehab pays a lot of attention to the quality of their products and their service. Especially because they want you to be super happy and satisfied with their shoes. All suppliers of the shoes are European based companies that comply with the rules of the European labor and health legislation, environment and safety regulations. All suppliers are tested by the BSCI. By using only European suppliers they keep the transport chain short. They always go for the most durable materials, so you can enjoy the shoes as long as possible.

Rehab is a member of the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI), an initiative of companies committed to improving working conditions in factories worldwide. This initiative brings together more than 1.400 companies in a development-oriented system that applies to all sectors and countries.

Classic: it all started with the Kurt. The idea for the Kurt originated in a factory. Here, the rear part of a failed sneaker was stuck on a classic shoe. Strange, but Rehab loved it! They expected people to think it was really cool or really ugly. It turned out to be a resounding success! In the current collection, the Kurt is still one of the basic shoes in Rehab's collection. The classics are classic with a casual twist and never boring. Nice details, rich colours and striking leathers with unique textures and prints give the shoes of the classic line a unique 'look and feel'. Shoes for people who are not afraid to make a statement.
